PORTUGALIÆ |
PORTUGALIÆ MATHEMATICA publishes original high level research papers in all domains of Mathematicas and has aimed at shortening its backlog to a reasonable size. We are now in a position to guarantee publication within one year after the paper has been accepted.
Articles should represent a significant advance of the theory. Minor improvements of former work shall not be considered. Articles can be submitted directly to any member of the Editorial Committee or to any Associate Editor, provided that an email is listed. Otherwise authors can still indicate the name of an Associate Editor while submitting the paper to a member of the Editorial Committee. The use of email is strongly preferred for all correspondence. However, printed copies (in triplicate) can be submitted to the journal's address.
Articles should have at most 30 pages, although longer works can also be considered. The preferred language is English. Each article must include an abstract of at most 150 words, an introduction that conveys even to the non-expert the main themes under discussion while avoiding accessory technicalities, a list of keywords, and the Mathematics Subject Classification 2000. After eventual acceptance for publication, the authors will be asked to send the TeX version of the article. In case the authors are not able to provide a TeX file the article may suffer considerable delay before publication.
Authors of published articles shall receive 20 free offprints.
One volume, consisting of four issues, is published each year. For volume 60 (2003),
subscription prices are 160 Euro for Europe and 170 Euro elswhere, including air
mail charges; all payments should be made in advance. Back volumes, starting with
