MATHEMATICAL PROCEEDINGS OF THE ROYAL IRISH ACADEMY

The Mathematical Proceedings of the Royal Irish Academy publishes original research in pure and applied mathematics. Exceptionally, survey articles of topics of current research interest that present new points of view or major simplifications are also published. All submissions are refereed and only papers of high quality are accepted. Submissions are particularly welcome from those whose work is related to that of Irish mathematicians or to the work of the members of the Editorial Board.

Submissions - Manuscripts should be submitted electronically to the Editors at the Editorial Office of the Academy. The submission of a paper implies that it is not being submitted to any other journal for publication. The paper should be prepared using the LaTeX template and based on the style sheet of the journal as explained in the submission instructions and guidelines on journal style for authors.

From the beginning of 2005 submissions will not be handled unless they are in electronic form, produced using this template and style sheet. Many authors already submit their papers using this template and style sheet, and we now ask other authors to follow the same style.

Refereeing of papers and all subsequent correspondence with authors will be by e-mail. Copy-editing of papers by staff in the Editorial Office will be minimal; authors are responsible for ensuring that their papers are not only correct but also consistent with other papers in the journal.
