October 2002. The Editors-in-Chief of JGAA are pleased to announce the appointment of Giuseppe (Beppe) Liotta as Managing Editor of JGAA. Beppe is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Perugia, Italy. His research interests include algorithm engineering, graph drawing, computational geometry and information visualization. He is the conference chair and program committee chair of the 2003 Symposium on Graph Drawing. Beppe has been a member of the Editorial Board of JGAA since 1999 and has also served as guest editor of two special issues of JGAA.

March 2002. The Editors-in-Chief of JGAA are pleased to announce the publication by World Scientific Publishing Co Pte Ltd of the book Graph Algorithms and Applications I (ISBN 981-02-4926-8), which contains volumes 1-3 of JGAA. We look forward to the publication of additional volumes of JGAA in book format through a continued partnership with World Scientific Publishing Co Pte Ltd.
